These terms apply to the Screshot Chrome extension, the website www.screshot.com and sharing by link (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by Huynh Cat Tuong, an individual developer based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam ("Screshot", "we"). By installing or using the Service you agree to these terms. Please read them with our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we handle.

1. The Service

  • Capture and editing. The Extension captures the visible area or a full page, and lets you crop, blur and annotate it on your device. You don't need an account for this, and nothing is uploaded.
  • Share by link (optional). If you sign in with Google, you can share a screenshot by link. It is end-to-end encrypted in your browser before upload, and you choose who can open it. Each account includes 1 GB of encrypted storage at no charge.
  • Workspaces and comments. You can create or join team workspaces, share with their members, and comment on shared screenshots.

We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away something you rely on for your shared screenshots, we will tell you in advance, and you can download your data before it takes effect.

2. Your account

You may create an account only if you are at least 13 years old, or older where the law of your country requires it. Keep your passkeys and your recovery code safe: they are the only way to unlock your shared screenshots. Because of end-to-end encryption, we cannot reset them or recover your screenshots if you lose both. You are responsible for what happens under your account; if you think someone else has access to it, sign out other sessions in Settings and contact us.

3. Your content

The screenshots and comments you share remain yours. You give us only the permission we need to store them and deliver them to the people you choose. Since they are encrypted, we cannot see them; you are responsible for having the right to share what you upload, and for choosing who can open it.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to:

  • share content that is illegal, including child sexual abuse material;
  • share other people's personal data without a lawful reason, or harass or threaten anyone;
  • spread malware, phishing or scams, or send spam;
  • infringe the intellectual property or other rights of others;
  • interfere with the Service or its security, get around its limits, or access accounts or data that are not yours.

5. Reports and moderation

Anyone can report a shared screenshot from its page. A screenshot reported as child sexual abuse material is hidden at once; any other screenshot is hidden automatically once three different people or devices report it. A moderator then reviews the report. Because screenshots are end-to-end encrypted, a moderator can see the content only if a reporter chose to send its key; otherwise we decide from the report itself.

If we hide or remove a screenshot, we email its owner. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that email or write to contact@screshot.com, and a person will look at it again. We may suspend accounts that repeatedly break these terms, and we report child sexual abuse material to the competent authorities where the law requires it.

6. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service at any time. Deleting your account in Settings erases your shared screenshots and data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; unless the law or the safety of others prevents it, we will tell you why and give you a chance to download your data first.

7. Intellectual property

The Screshot name, logo, software and website belong to Screshot or its licensors. These terms do not give you any right to them, other than to use the Service as intended.

8. Disclaimer

We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind beyond those the law requires. Keep your own copy of anything important: the Service is not a backup for your files.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by contract.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will publish the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in advance, by email if you have an account. If you don't agree, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.

11. Contact
